The world better off without men?

I hear some people say that the world could exist and be even better without men. A few reasons go like this:

-Technology/modern life does not require phsyical strength as much so men's strength means less and less.

-We are close to developing technologies to creat sperm from the bone marrow of women...and soerm banks have enough sperm to last thousands of years.

-There would be no war without women.

Ok, I'll give my opinion but I want to heear what you think?

-Do you ever consider WHO is creating new technologies? Check out the ratios of the gender in computer science...Men are very much involed in developing new technologies..in some cases more so than women. Now, women could do these jobs..but the point I'm amking is that if all men suddenly disaoppeared..there would be a HUGE need for engineers, mechanics, computer programmers...etc.

Infact..think about..the thigns you use everyday...ur water, plumbing, the house you live in, heating, cooling, the roads you drvie on, your car...those are all things that Men have a large role in building and maintaining.

-Well true you may not need men for childbirth one day.

-I believe women are just as open to becoming hostile, angry, and hold grudges as men. Just like women are socialized (I believe) away from certain careers...they also tend to sit back and let men do all the bombing and shooting. But just like I believe women would fill other roles if men were gone...they probably get around to waging war too.

I mean bottomline...this could easily be flipped...if we invented incubation machines and perfected cloning and could make our own eggs...wouldn't women be unecessary as well? Of course mothers bring unique gifts to a child but so do men...theres evidence that children w/o fahters are more likely to have certain issues pyschologically. Also, I've heard that girls go in to puberty wuicker when they don't have a father present. Which can elad to all kinds of emotional/mental issues and a heightened risk of breast cancer.

I don't believe you coudl cut either gender out of the equation.There's a reason we evolved the way we did. And modern soceity I don't believe cna improve on that really...I mean modern convenience casues issues too..people cna be entertained by tv/computers all day and never leave their house..and have acess to cheap 2 hr fatty fast food. Sometimes I hope we actually go backward in some ways.

I do believe that without men there're would less war, not no war at all but less. Also a world without men is def more 'possible' than one without women, simply because womenhave a bigger role in the process of reproduction. The thing you said about the absent of fathers resulting into certain issues pyschologically, would of course be totally different in world where there would be no fathers in general (same goes for a world with no mothers of course)

On the other hand I think women would have huge trouble fullfilling 'traditional male roles'. I think that people who say that in a world without men there'd be no war based on the assumption that women are 'sweet, demure and loving' and would therefore try avoid conflict, miss out that women can only afford to be because men act as protectors (metaphorically speaking)

The reason I think it's not gonna happen, despite that we to be realistic are still somewhat far from a world without either gender (even though I recently heard the Y chromosome was going to destroy itself in 10 000 years for some reason), is that women don't want a world without men. Some might, but that's the minorty, most women want men in their lifes.

I don't think the world would be better without men. I don't think the world would be better without women. Men and women both bring their own unique qualities to the world and I don't think I could live without the men in my life, I know the men in my life couldn't live without the women in their lives. I don't think there should even be talk of getting rid of either gender, not that it would ever happen. I just think we should all live together in harmony, god created us all I'm sure he wouldn't want us talking about not needing the other gender.. He created Eve because he said Adam needed her, so there.

Oh that that whole puberty without dad thing.. I'm pretty sure that isn't true... I have known several people that go through puberty without their dads anywhere around and they have been perfectly fine ever since. I think going through puberty would have been traumatizing without my mother, she's the one that helped me through it and gave me tips and told me what it was like for her, my dad couldn't have done that. But my dad also helped me through that time, what I'm saying is I'm sure we need both parents when we go through anything or it could be harder on us

I think you misunderstood...i was aying id read that haveing an absent fathers makes girl go through it earlier...meaning that their homrones mit ebe outta wack...although I just read that...im not sure if I buy it...Girls are going through puberty quicker tho..thats a fact...the ag age lowers every few decades .but I think it has a lot to do with the hormons in our foods.

No, it would not be better off. All humans make mistakes, so women are no better than men. Plus, men bring many things to the table that women don't, but I won't get into that.

Yeah. Well, men are gonna die out in like, 5 million years anyway. So I guess we gotta start preparing. You do only really need women. Its like, the Earth Mother sh*t. But we don't actually need humans at all. We're not really meant to be here.

We did without neandrathauls, though. Like we had them, and then we got a bit smarter, and just said 'Fuck off, right?'. And we kept a few around for animalistic sex and for carrying our stuff when we were moving house, but generally, we did without them. So if there's some major social upsurge, or dystopian unrest, then perhaps women will do the same for men. But then men could do the same for women, really.

I don't care, anyway. As long as RCA hears my albums, hahahha.

I'm not concerned about it because we still have human instincts and emotions. Sure people could get pregnant without a man, but a woman's instinct tells her that she would prefer to have a mate. Also, seeing as how girls are raised from birth to value and place importance on relationships I don't see how they will react any different even knowing that they no longer need a man to reproduce.

Once you dull a persons motives and desires down, that's when men would become obsolete for reproduction, marriage, relationships, etc. If that were to happen, I picture it being like one of those post-apocalyptic movies where it's alright to hunt people for bloodsport :)

i think as social animals both genders need each other for various things. I believe both genders can do anything and everything , men can raise children and build beautiful homes and women can run a company and fight wars. Even though men drive me crazy and the thought of a male-less world is so beautiful but at the same time not having them around would make life very bland. the whole 'what do men think of themselves?" spices things up and vice versa. the world would be a different place not better.

Um I am a woman and I can talk sports just as good as any guy, and I'll go onto the battle field anytime anywhere. I am also really smart so basically, I don't need a man. From the above statements you probably assume that I am going to say we don't need men. We may not need them but we definitely want them. We want that special guy who can protect us. If there were no men, there would be a bunch of crazy women gossiping about and yelling at each other. Please, men stay on earth ! :)

Men are still dominant in society I think that is why technology is by men. When men went to war in WWI and WWII women took over then mens jobs. We do need men and the world would suck without them. Men need women too, and not to create your babies and cook your meals.

Well, when some women think that, we don't think of the possiblitys of what it's like to live in a world without men. Most times, if a man does something to p*ss em off, then they'll think of all the things man has done wrong before but never the good things. Good point by the way, neither gender could be cut out; who would make babies then?

But, also, men have to work because, men are the ones who make money for the fam. most times(not always) so a mother is there to take care of the child. Women are more...there is no word to descibe it.

Yes...but I shoudl say..this isn't jsut something I've heard in passing when a girl has gotten ticked off...I mean I've heard actual "feminist" women make a case for it in some of my classes. And even if one sex could creat babies by themselves..there would no substitute in the numerous other ways that that gender conributes to society...

To the father thing, totally false. I lived without a father for about half of my short life. I wasn't mentally ill either. I had good grades, I was happy, everything was fine with me. So that's false just to let you know.

I said "more likely"...I didn't meant ALL the time..or mayeb not even most...but look at it this way...ur more liekly to die in a car accident if you are in a car...(duh) even tho most times you arrive safely. Its a ahrd thing to measure because its so subjective. Sorry...I didn't mean to tell anyone that they are destined for failure if they don't have a dad...obviously that's not the case. I do think there is evidence that fathers bring certain things to the table though.

Technology makes life easy, but who invented that technology? woman? If you take the top 10 inventors of the industrial revolution and golden age, all of them are men, and what woman did was to give birth tho those men, and that is their job!
