Should I give up looking for a girlfriend?

I got rejected 13 times in a row approaching girls. I never was rude either when i got rejected.

I say to the girls,”excuse me, i thought you were pretty, is it fine if i get your number.

All of them either said, “No”, or “I have a Boyfriend”. The good thing is they never were rude about it.

I am even an average looking guy, i don’t want to have to use psychological manipulation to make a girl attracted to me.

I want a girl to like me for who i am

I might still keep trying to ask, but I am hopeless when it comes to finding a girlfriend.

Duuude, don't give up hope just yet! 13 rejections is tough for sure, but it doesn't mean you should throw in the towel. A few thoughts:

- Approaching random girls can be hit or miss. Maybe try joining some clubs or sports leagues to meet people with shared interests. Easier to connect that way.

- When asking girls out, smile and be friendly but don't make it just about looks. Compliment something they're wearing or carrying to make it less about looks.

- Quality over quantity - don't just shotgun approach every kinda cute girl. Look for ones you seem to vibe with better.

- Have you tried any dating apps? Might open more doors since you can break the ice online first.

- And working out can't hurt - staying fit shows self-respect and confidence, which girls dig.

My point is, don't stress the rejections or take it personal. Keep your head up! Focus on having fun meeting new people without expectations. The right girl will appreciate the real you. Just don't stress and keep putting yourself out there in a positive way. You got this bro, your girl is out there!

In general, it's a kind of trade. You give something - your humor, brains, sometimes looks, and then you can get something back. It's the same for a woman. It's not like every man is so desperate to give his number to every woman who asks :D But having red hair increases the chance of getting his phone number :D

The 45 Plus anonymous guy made some half valid points, however I'm happily 29 (10 years older than yourself, Asker) and I for one am quite happy that, much like you I got flirted on a few times by chicks I wasn't really into/didn't have time for the time of day for, and I've also been able to chat to women yet it never went further because often and without lying they often were already taken. Literally, they'd mention their boyfriends as casually as the weather and the pros and cons of their weekend or daily adventures outside of work or whatever and I'd just smile politely yet often think well, life could be worse, and besides, I've saved much more time and money as a single man to such a degree, I'm actually very single, lucky me (and that rhymed). And so I continue being single and happily. After all, once im 30 people and even the women tend to either stop asking or just assume I'm married or any other assumption they like in their heads. And so I can eat in public or walk to a cafe and not be flirted with, much joy. Especially if my hair ever goes bald or I go grey, hooray 🎉🙌

Maybe try and make it more chill and establish a connection first. See if you can meet women in more natural environments, try and get chatting, see if you have a natural connection. Building attraction is important. Maybe try not to rely on compliments so much because women get them all the time. Or try and be specific with compliments. A bit of light teasing is always fun and builds tension. Pat yourself on the back for having the balls to approach old boy. You can build on it.

In life if you never try you will never know & as for me I rather try & fail rather than not try at all. As for love it works in mysterious ways & as for you if you want to give up on love go ahead but I don’t think you should. "I want a girl to like me for who I am". That means you want to remain single man. No girl every likes a man for who he is. Most the time a woman doesn't even have any clue who a guy is. Why do you think so many women come on this site and lament about how the guy turned into a completely different person. And the reality is, no she just met the actual person up to that point she just saw his as the guy she'd created in her head.
