What should my next move be?

I work with this one woman who I find attractive and she seems like a very nice person. We work in different departments so there’s not much time for interactions but when we get a chance to interact, I make sure I find something to say. She’s not someone who smiles all the time and based on her interactions with others, it’s hard to get her to smile or laugh (probably given our work environment). I’ve been able to get her to smile and laugh with almost every interaction. She also tends to get nervous in front of me but not other male coworkers. I’m trying to find out if she’s single without flat out asking her since I don’t know much about her. I had a chance the other day to ask her out as it seems as though she set up the opportunity at the end of a conversation, but dumb ol me didn’t realize it until my friends and another coworker pointed it out. I just want to see what others think about the situation and what would be the best way to find out if she’s single or something along the lines of that.

And yes, I know a lot of people say to not date coworkers but I’ve dated plenty of coworkers and have been able to maintain professionalism in the workplace.
