Is he waiting for me to make the next move?

I've been seeing this guy for a couple of months now, and every time we've seen each other it's always him initiating the contact. I haven't heard from him for about a week, so should I ask him to hang out?

How often do you two see eachother? That could be more of a contributor than you might think. This could be a couple of different things though.

If he's always the one that has to get a hold of you and set things up there's a big chance he's just running out of steam. Some guys enjoy constantly being in control and doing the chasing. Many guys like myself, however, will eventually hit a wall and get the feeling that they're working harder/more interested in the relationship than the girl they're with. Speaking from personal experience, it doesn't take long for me to break up with a girl when I start to get the feeling she's just cruising along. Both sides of the relationship should be regularly showing signs of affection/interest/desire etc, especially in the early months of a relationship.

He could easily just be busy, a week is not a terribly long time to go without seeing each other in the long run. The longest lasting relationship I've ever been in I only saw my girlfriend 3-4 times a month.

Are you guys getting into a pattern of regularly doing the same things when you hang out? If so maybe he just feels things are getting stale.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions at this point though. As with most things in a relationship they are the easiest to address by facing the matter. In this case call him and ask him if he wants to hang out. If you want to spend time with him this shouldn't be a difficult thing to do.

Sounds like he's got you right where he wants you. Who really knows what's going on with him? My guess is that he feels that the relationship with you will get a little stale if he continuously gives you unnecessary attention. Becoming too clingy is one of guys worst fears. I know right now, I feel like I'm getting to clingy to the girl I'm dating, so I'm purposely gonna avoid contacting her for at least a couple of days; unless she purposely tries to contact me.

Absolutely. If I'm talking to a girl who never initiates contact then I just assume she's not interested. You better call/text him if you're interested in him!
