I’m in a situation where I’ve been getting really close with this girl and she is really unique and such a good person but I haven’t fallen for her like I have with girls I have dated in the past. Usually being in lust was how I knew I really wanted to be with someone but I don’t really have this feeling for her right now and that’s clearly not worked out well for me thus far. I don’t want to lead her on or hurt her either because she doesn’t deserve that. My ex was leagues above me on the looks scale but after a few years together her looks started to matter less to me and her personality started becoming the problem

Once. Felt bad about how that situation played out, haha. Lasted like a week, I had a girl I was really into on the line but I thought she was blowing me off. This other girl came along and absolutely THREW IT AT ME, like no other woman before or since, and she was kind of cute, but I sort of had to “look for it”, if that makes sense. It wasn’t like “damn, I’m so into this chick”, it was like “yeah, I mean…I guess her eyes are kinda pretty…” I don’t want to paint her like she was terrible looking, she wasn’t at all. I’d give her a cool 6.5-7 on the 10 scale with a couple strong features, haha. Certainly not ugly. It’s just the other chick I was after was WICKED HOT, and this girl just wasn’t in the same league. I feel bad, but she just gave me a strong freak vibe and I figured she would be a good time as a consolation prize. And I wasn’t wrong, haha.

But, I don’t think that was going to be enough to compensate for the entry-level attraction I had, plus I was kind of a douchebag at that age and probably thought I deserved someone more attractive on my arm🤦‍♂️ To be fair though…. she was kind of a lunatic, lmao, it wasn’t just some sweet innocent girl getting taken advantage of. But I just really try to stay out of the business of hurting feelings, and I missed the mark on this one.

The hot chick must’ve smelled the competition in in the air, because all of a sudden she shows up at my place that same week and throws it at me too. And once that happened, it was a wrap for the other chick. And then that got handled really poorly by me, because she had just bought us tickets to see Kanye (who had JUST come out, so it was at a small college venue, not some huge arena), and I was going to ride that out through the weekend and figure it out from there. But of course, the new girl tells me SHE’S going to that concert, so I was like “fuck…I can’t get seen with this other girl by her…I have to bail.” So I kind of just ghosted her (throwback landline ghosting😂) for like 24 hours.

I also hooked up with a third girl I knew at a party, and the first girl’s friend from her dorm was there, and gave me this kind of accusatory “OH, HEY, STEVE” when she saw me, like “yes, I see what’s happening, and yes I’m going to tell my friend.” I get it, but also…. I’ve been hanging out with your friend for like three days, please don’t act like I’m out here cheating on a girlfriend. But obviously she’s gonna say something, so…anyway, I think that’s what ended that.

A day or two later I got a call from her, I could tell in her voice she was mad. She said “so, were you planning on going tonight?”, meaning the concert. I could’ve really been better about this part, but I think I knew the game was up so I didn’t care…I responded kind of nonchalantly like “I don’t know…. do you want me to go?” And she goes “I’d prefer if you DIDN’T.” I stayed nonchalant and was like “ok, that’s cool…”, and I think THAT was the last time, probably in human history, that I had a telephone slammed down on me😂

“End Call” just doesn’t hit the same

So…it didn’t really go all that well. I resolved to only deal with women I was all the way into going forward. You don’t want to leave a bunch of vengeful women in your wake, that’s a free life tip for ya, haha

The woman I dated the longest was originally a customer of mine at the store I was working at. She had to go to our other location to pick up what she wanted and she told the guy who helped her that she thought I was good looking, etc. She came back a few days later and I asked her if she liked me. We dated on and off for a few months, and ended up becoming very good friends. The others, I just dated briefly, and not much happened between us.
