My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while now and our mutual friend confessed to me. I only see him as a friend. My boyfriend and him are good friends with each other and I don't want to ruin their friendship, but if I don't tell this to my boyfriend I will feel guilty

Update: I forgot to update it but here's what happened.

I told that friend he's too late to say this and shouldn't talk about this now, so I just rejected him. After a few days I told my boyfriend what happened becouse I felt weird and kinda guilty about it. He got suprised but he didn't made a big deal about it. He said that he's fine me talking to him as long as things don't get weird and he trusts me. Him and our friend are not really close anymore but that guy still won't leave me alone :/

Think of what the consequences would be if you tell your boyfriend.

You could lose the friendship with this common friend because your boyfriend would sever the relationship with him. If he does not sever the relationship with the common friend, that would signify that he does not care whether this guy makes passes at you and therefore, does not value your relationship.

If you don't say anything, then he may find out sooner or later and then both your common friend and you are in trouble. You would because you did not tell your boyfriend anything, which could be interpreted as you are willing to start something with this common friend.
