Even if I make the first move no guy wants me and I get rejected. What am I doing wrong?

Men always say make the first move but I do like send a dm I still get rejected. I’m pretty (saying this because I put a lot of effort into my appearance and people tell me it shows) and I’m pretty funny. The only men interested in me are drug addicts and men who treat me like shit. I’m not the type personality or the way I look. I’m going to stop making the first move because clearly it doesn’t work and it’s genuinely annoying getting ghosted after 10 messages. What’s going on?

People are weird and turn down people for the stupidest pickiest reasons. You are probably doing nothing wrong at all, do not give up. I have the same issues as you as a guy expect I get ghosted period. I can't say what weird thing you are doing "wrong" because I don't know near about you

People tell you? Which people? Being complimented for effort is not the same as being topless that you are attractive.

People as in men and women. I phrased it like that because men on here are so quick to call a woman shallow. I’m saying they say I’m attractive. I’ve had guys on sites like this and in real life rate me honestly, ones who aren’t attracted to me. Average rating I’ve ever gotten was an 8, lowest was a 6. Also I’m in college it’s expected you text a lot, 10 messages then stop responding is genuinely weird. Most time you text for a few days before making plans. Those texts are frequent at meaning at least 2 an hour.

The guys who are attacked to me tell me themselves I’m out of their league. Other people have told me the same thing about the guys who are into me they’re less attractive and worse people morally. When I look for a guy I 90% of the time just make sure we have similar interests and initiate conversation with that.
