Girls, if you ever said, "I'm okay with just dating casually, but I don't want any commitment now," did you REALLY mean it?

I have heard girls say, "I'm okay with just dating casually, but I don't want any commitment now." Here is how I interpreted that comment.

"I'm okay with just dating casually," means she wants to have sex.

"I don't want any commitment now," has two possible meanings.

EITHER

1. I JUST want sex! Don't try to become my boyfriend or I'll run away REAL lickety-split! (It's old Southern vernacular for real damned quick.)

OR

2. I've been hurt bad before and I'm not gonna admit that I still wanna find a boyfriend 'cause I'll probably just get hurt again, BUT it would be great if you became my boyfriend. So we can have sex now, and maybe that will get you hooked.

Have you ever told a guy something like, "I'm okay with just dating casually, but I don't want any commitment now?" If so, just what did you mean? Honestly?

I've never said "I'm okay with just dating casually, but I don't want any commitment now," to a guy.
I've said it, and it meant something like, "Don't try to become my boyfriend or I'll run away REAL lickety-split!"
I've said it, and it meant "I'm not gonna admit that I still wanna find a boyfriend but actually, that's what I want."
I've said it, and it meant something else that I'll explain in a comment.
