But I wouldn't hope for maintaining eye contact with a woman, particularly if she's attracted to you. What you want is a smile. I'm able to maintain eye contact with people in normal situations but I cannot do it with men when they flirt. You shouldn't expect it either, eye contact is about dominance... if a woman can stare you down it's not good.

Ok let's put it this way... Why haven't I received a smile from a girl for 20 long years?
If you look/smile at a girl across the room and she does not reciprocate it usually means she's not into you. Perhaps you're not good looking enough to where that alone would work. The good thing is, for a man physical attractiveness is not as important as for a woman. If a woman is ugly, there's nothing she can do, but if a man is ugly there's a lot that he can do to make up for it. You can attract with charm or personality so you can just chat girls up or, place yourself in their friend group and show off your personality/sense of humour. If those are also not your strong points neither then there's always the grind - get a good job and wear nice clothes. Women like suits and uniforms. Otherwise - ask yourself, if you were a girl what would you like about the man that you are? If you can figure it out then you can play into your strengths.
I have always been told that I have beautiful eyes, plus my sense of humor has always been the center of attention. Girls in my friends circle open up to me quite easily. I'm always well groomed. I wear nice clothes. I even hit the gym, I have been told I look good physically (this one only from the guys). However, whenever I ask them out they ghost me...

I avoid eye contact with good looking guys cause I think it's a seductive gesture. I only make eye contact with people I'm dating.
That's what I'm asking... Why hasn't a woman made eye contact with me (thought of me in a seductive way) for 20 long years?
