Do you think human beings like challenges?

I am trying to learn Sanskrit and Arabic because I was told Arabic is the hardest living language to learn and Sanskrit is the hardest dead language to learn. I also had guys go out of their way to compete with me in strategy games cause I had a reputation for being impossible to beat. I think the human mind is designed to like challenges. Do you agree? Do you have examples too? My current goal is to publish over 12 books a year cause I want to beat Isaac Asimov who authored 500 books before his death. I’m not smart at all but I’ve always been insanely lucky when it comes to my ability to achieve things.
