What do you do if your teacher/professor has an annoyingly boring voice?

Normally, I love history. It's fascinating, but sadly, I'm taking an online history college course, where my teacher sends slideshows, where he talks and explains topics. And oh boy, is his voice boring or what! Lots of "uh, so, they, well, uh, they uh decided to uh, create, uh, uh..." Monotone and boring. He's old, but I've had plenty of old guy teachers who make their class fun. The worst part is he makes his tests and quizzes centered around HIS slideshows. We can't just find the answer out of the book. It has to be what he tells us.

I just grin and bear it. I had an annoying math teacher when I was in school. I just counted the days to vacations and end of school.

You bet if there were CC, I would use it in a heartbeat! Sadly, there isn't. I just click the play button to hear the audio of his talking and that's it. No CC or playback speed. I'm forced to listen to his, so uh, well, uh, uh, uh... as I said, uh, uh, for like an hour or even more because that's how long the audio is. Worst class ever.
