Its very important that in every job you apply for you submit a cover letter summarizing your skills and talents in how they make you qualify and best suited for the Job at hand along with your Resume.
Even So DizzyDesii you may seem like an unlikely candidate. You always put your best forward and if you fail. You repeat the steps again until eventually yoh get the breakthrough. This is what is term Success i belive in you my friend 😘😘
Like, maybe I might. @exitseven makes a great case for why it might be worth it. BUT... too often (as you said in one of your replies) it's a pretentious overreach by the employer and unlike in exit seven's case, probably no one is going to read it. There's AI scanning the inputs and then temp or contract people taking 5 seconds to look at what I wrote before someone REAL actually does something with it. I want to write a cover letter for the exitseven's of the world, NOT for ChatGPT to tell me I'm useless. And so, as one of my better bosses used to say, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. There are plenty of companies willing to look at candidates without the antiquated cover letter. I'll apply there.
@snowedin My daughter tells me that resumes are scanned for keywords that the employer is looking for. Read what the employer is looking for and make sure you include all of it in your resume. It sounds pretty clinical to me and not how I liked to do it. I say that one of the most important thing you do s a manager is hiring the right people.

So far I've never been asked for a cover letter. Just the resume
Lucky
I guess I am 😅
If I am applying to a position I always include a cover letter. But then again I am competing for higher end jobs.
I will if it's required. Other than that, not usually.
I only give them what they ask for and I try to make sure that I’m personable in front of them
If an email saying hi I'm interested in this job counts yes, otherwise no.
I don’t need a job so no applications from me. I chose A because if I was, I would submit both the Resume and Cover Letter.
Thank you for the Like
I submit only if they mention cover letter is required

A-I'm selective with what I apply to, and really try hard at the ones I do apply to.
Try hard to submit a cover letter?
I submit the cover letter with the application, thanking them for considering my application
Resumes should ALWAYS be accompanied by a cover letter!
I won't apply.
Lol okay
