Any tips on how to get the job you apply for?

I've been putting in job applications and I even rewrote my resume but I haven't got any interviews lately or a new job yet. Is there something missing from my resume? Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of landing a new job quickly?

It's hard times people are losing jobs and few hire, so unless you are in a highly demanded profession you might be out of luck. Because the competition on the jobs that exists will be high. So if your experience can't match the best it really doesn't matter what you write.
