u I recently got a promotion at work. This past Friday was my last day in my previous role. Where I work, when someone leaves, they get ice cold water dumped on them throughout the day. I came prepared with a towel and extra clothes XD
Does your workplace have any first day/last day traditions, hazings, or anything like that?

I teach kindergarten- so our 1st/last day traditions are a little different.
On the day before school starts we have a picnic with all the incoming kindergartners.
On the first day - kindergarten teachers (only) wear a t-shirt that says K-team and each teacher has a different color. The kinders are given bracelets that match their teacher to help them find their class. My color is pink!
On the last day, students have a half day and staff has to attend a district wide assembly where retirees are recognized and special awards are given. 😎
u Nothing like that. I’m a teacher and the work culture varies a little bit between schools, but I’ve never seen anything like that! Because most staff start and/or leave/retire on predictable dates (usually starting in September or leaving in June), most schools including mine and my husband’s, do a welcome breakfast for staff in September, and an end of the year dinner in June. We welcome new staff at the breakfast, and say goodbye to staff at the dinner.
Anyone who joins or leaves in the middle of the year will get recognized as well, but typically only in the school newsletter.

That sounds like fun, tbh.
Mine doesn't have that at all. They just pull you aside to talk to you and tell you they're giving you a raise or a bonus check.
Am a courier driver for Doordash so don't have a workplace.
