Can you read and write in cursive?

I heard they don't teach it in schools anymore, but most people don't ever write in it anymore either so why would most people need to know how to read it?

I can read it and write it, but I haven't done either in over a year now.

I know some people use it for their signature, but that's really the only use anyone I know gets from it.

Before I started school, I knew my ABCs. I had seen cursive and tried to figure out on my own how to run my letters together to form cursive.

In early elementary school they started teaching us to write in cursive. Eventually, printing was for babies.

I wouldn't have been able to take thorough notes in college if not for cursive because it is much quicker. I wrote all my papers in cursive.

I've written lots of letters to people over the years, always in cursive.

At work, though, I printed all my reports because it is easier to read. That was before computers. Fortunately, I had taken a typing class in summer school after 7th grade, so I was able to type fairly quickly once computers came out.

I think it's funny that cursive is now like a secret code that can't be deciphered by those who never learned it.

It’s sad they don’t teach this in schools anymore. Now that computers took over the majority or writing in print and cursive, people don’t care, but I think cursive is beautiful and I still write in cursive and I find it the easiest way to write when I’m writing. I certainly appreciate it being an 80’s baby

I write namely in cursive.

Most schools I know of in my area still teach handwriting. Heck, some kids take up caligraphy because they like handwriting so much.

It's a secret skill we older folks use to communicate with each other and weed out the dumb downed people who can only print or use text speak. The evangelicals teach it to their kids so in the future, they can come for those who can't write cursive. First they have to eliminate all the LBGTQ folks though, and then they'll come for the non-cursive writers.
