Do you think what happened to me at my incoming new job is embarassing?

I just started my training as an admin assistant at hospital since April 8 and after two days of training today April 10 I went to work cuz they sent on my facebook my schedule 6pm-6am so i went there before 6 pm around 5:45-5:50 pm and my co worker (Jenny) was shocked and asked me why I was there? I said "I thought my schedule is 6pm-6am" and she said "no you will start on April 12 6 pm-6am" and then the real employee (Dea) who will work today just came. And my coworker said "Girl I thought you knew it? You even like the message on messenger" one of my older woman co workers there said to me" its okay" meaning its just a mistake so I went home today.. I think its embarassing

There look at the pic on April 12 I will start where there's a plus sign on it.

But yesterday when I was a trainee one of nurse there was kinda mad because there's a info of patient and watchet untyped or unencoded on computer she said the last employee on night forgot to encode it its nor even written on log list so when I was a trainee we still type it she forgot to log and encode. The last employee who was there last night was Dea. she's the same employee who I mentioned earlier who is real scheduled to work today. (Dea)

Do you think mine is embarassing or hers?
Or am I just too stupid?

So I can see how you would be confused by it, it does say training for the 10th. But it's okay, and it was great that the older lady was understanding of you getting it wrong (one of the reasons why they are so wonderful). Best thing for you to do was if you had called or emailed your point of contact when you saw the schedule, and asked them to clarify if you were supposed to start on the 10th or 12th, before going in that day.

But it's okay and everyone makes mistakes. I don't think anyone will try to make you feel stupid for it, but if they do then you now know what kind of work culture you're going to be apart of.

Not really. Just enthusiastic. More embarrassing an employer would send out a schedule on Facebook.

Lol thats how they send it.. well I think I prefer a text like a secretary informing us each our schedule

The Embarrassment is not yours as the start date/time should have been spelt out concisely in their letter or email to you. not just a symbol on a roster that means nothing to you.
