Food workers, hotel workers. Literally any service worker who does things like cook for you or clean for you.
Especially clean because some people live like they’ve never learned to be clean, and leave trash on the floor just cause they can. Where would we be if no one cleaned their filth for them? 🤷♀️
I don’t work in that industry to know that or be peeved about it. I’ve passed by hotels rooms and I believe walked in on someone cleaning up our room last minute (we were early, I don’t recall, but anyways). I saw trash just everywhere. On the bed. On the floor. On the tv table. It was in a big city- either Chicago or New York, and somehow there was an indication adults had stood there. Really, it doesn’t even matter if it were kids who did it. Where is the respect and the instruction to have consideration for others?
Especially to come back each day to a spotless room? Fresh toilet paper refills and soaps? I appreciate someone who makes my bed for me. I appreciate that much cause sometimes I just don’t wanna do it, and after a long day out, plopping on the bed is all that can be done and I’m grateful I get to do that because of their service. 👍 💯
Janitors are viewed as a job you want to go to school to avoid, but they are the reason we have a hygienic society (hospitals, schools, work, etc). We'd be a disgusting society without them, riddled with disease.
Almost every blue collar job is underappreciated and those men do jobs that nobody cares and nobody wants to do , yet keeps our society running
So many of them. The first three that come to mind though are janitors, garbagemen, and fast food workers. Would you rather there not be someone there to clean your office, your streets, or have a meal ready for you in a hurry?
One underappreciated profession that often deserves more recognition is the role of **caregivers**, including home health aides and personal care assistants. These professionals provide essential support for individuals who are elderly, disabled, or chronically ill, often working long hours and making significant personal sacrifices. Their work is crucial for maintaining quality of life for those they care for, yet it is frequently undervalued both in terms of salary and societal recognition.
Increasing awareness and appreciation for caregivers could help highlight the importance of their contributions and advocate for better working conditions and compensation. Other professions, like mental health workers or skilled tradespeople, also often receive less recognition than they deserve for their critical roles
Farmers. They (2%) feed 100% of the population. If they refused to do their jobs, then we would all starve.
