I was never much of a festival person because I’m not outdoorsy. After about 20 mins, I’m ready to go inside. But i’m looking to try out some festivals and want tips. I’m tempted to attend a salsa (food) festival, food truck festival, hot air balloon festival, film festival, music festival (EDC Carnival or Hangout Fest), chili cookoff, or hot wings/burger festival (if they exist lol)!!

1. "Adivay" - November conducted at La Trinidad, Benguet. A seasonal festival where local municipalities from Benguet, Philippines showcase their product. Conduct activities and Pageants. This one is not popular and the quality of product, decorations and activities varies per year, must be the organizers since it varies per year. You need luck to attend the well prepared one.

2 "Panagbenga" - February - March conducted at Baguio City. A seasonal festival where locals showcase truck design of flower blooms. Native people showcase dances. But there are a lot of people if you are late you can only see people's head.

Those two stopped due to COVID.

I love most any food festival. Where I live we have a Greek, Lebanese and Indian food festivals which we have missed dearly because of covid.


I average about 30 concerts a year and while I do love concerts I have a love hate relationship with music festivals. One they trybto cram too many bands into just a few days. Once in the venue they will not allow you to come and go. They will not allow you to bring water, alcohol or other food in the venue. Then they inflate the prices of the food inside and sometimes a beer can cost between $8 to $12 USD. Plus the lines for porta-potties are long as well as for food.

I definitely like holiday festivals the most - Christmas lights and choirs and peppermint lattes and skating rinks, sounds super fun! I also liked Canada day in previous years but our government stopped celebrating it because of terrorist activities targeting national holiday events. I loved watching aboriginal dancers perform, learning about different religions, watching fire works, entering charity raffles, listening to pop musicians and rappers and watching artists paint the faces of young children. Super fun!

Art festivals, art conventions, game conventions and festivals, comic conventions, japanese cultural festivals, food festivals, or stuff similar to burning man or other places that show off inventions are the ones I like.

I'd say the last one I mentioned is my fave if nothing is actually burning, otherwise ones centered around gaming are, but the only gaming featival I'm aware of is the monster hunter festivals japan holds because they worship that game like its a holiday, they even have an actual resturant based on it.

The downside to any food festival, or music festival is that they have precious few of anything else, which is why I like Ren fairs, or October fests. They usually have food AND entertainment. Go to a music festival or art fest, and that's all you will likely get, and if what you went for doesn't blow your skirts up, then the whole day is likely blown.

To be exact, New York has a lot of Ren fairs, and Octoberfests (at leastbefore covid). In Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton, Pa, there was a Greek church that had a Greek festival, the food was different, and astounding. I was especially enjoying there spun honey balls lightly spinkled with diced peanuts. They also had fun and games, as well as have a Greek culture arts and crafts all at once.

My mom used to love the Strawberry fest in Florida. I never went because I don't like strawberries, and there is nothing else there. I mean plenty of foods, but all are strawberry-something or other.

Music, Cars and cultural festivals. They are all awesome and specially the cultural ones, they tell so much history and Sweden is so rich with it. Cars! Well once upon a time i was a street racer and we used to gather and show off our cars in car festivals and they gave prizes.

I like general one where there is food (cold, hot, spicy, sweet, liquid, solid), trick games or luck games or aiming games, kinda performances happening on side, selling little items that can be any or for any age like kids toys or art pieces or cultural stuff or gadget maybe or badges having different titles on em etc... like simply mixture of thjngs not necessarily including all these... I've seen those on very small scale happening in school/university but never big ones

We always have a blues/jazz festival in the summer usually around the 4th of July at at a Park called Leclaire in Davenport Iowa. It has good food and nice bands with a stage. It also by the Mississippi river front which looks awesome especially if they fire off fireworks off a barge on the river. Sometimes it's somewhat romantic also.

Music festivals, for sure. Food festivals always sound like a good idea but they end up being a capitalist money pit. And yes, some music festivals are that too, but not all of them. Some of them are actually great deals, and they can be amazingly fun.

Music Festival any day ! I've made so many friends at music festivals. The whole vibe an emotional melodic track hits and the whole crowd is just vibing to it , nothing can beat that for me. I've also played at a couple of local festivals and to see people sing along , dance to the music , headbanging , it's just Gorgeous.

Desert of Northern Nevada, usually around 75,000 people but it has been canceled due to covid last two years, I wouldn't be surprised if they have way more people this year.

I've never been, but they are kind of free spirits, music, arts, and the final day they burn a giant man. There is a clothing optional area too from what I understand.

I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but it is a 10-12 hour drive for me. Always wanted to try it, so this will be the year.

Food festivals are great usually wherever and the only ones worth it to me. Have peach festivals, just like your basic farm life sim game and get some great peach pie. Though I've only gone in and out like a bandit. Don't care for anything else. Socializing is disgusting.

Did you list food festivals first for a reason? lol. I am alway up for food and music festivals. In Baton Rouge every Friday during the summer they do a live at five. Local bands play downtown starting at 5:00 pm with dancing in the streets.
