Okay, I have no idea why this thread is suddenly popular, but keep it coming.

Water control for sure.

Water can be used to fight fires.

Control of water would allow the purification / desalination of water which would be a huge boon for the world, depending on how powerful the ability is.

It would be useful on a personal level when washing or with household chores, even something like cooking, you could mix things by manipulating its water content.

You could build bridges over rivers and rescue people from drowning etc.

You could pull water out of the air if you needed a drink or to cool down.

Water is everywhere and used constantly. this would clearly be a fantastic power to have.

Water, probably. Since almost all known life is water-based, the control of water is the control of life. Between that and the actual manipulation of water, there’s very little outside your control.
Flame is similar, but different. Despite popular myth, flame requires much more than air and ignition. The vast majority of which is controllable via water. Alter flame or fire to “energy” and that’s a whole new conversation.
