So the Finale of Rupauls Drag Race was tonight but I can’t watch it until tomorrow 💀

I’ve been avoiding social media all night so I wouldn’t be spoiled and then my friend FaceTimed me and immediately spoiled who won 😭😭😭

it’s okay cause I knew she was gonna win anyways. Slay 🤪

Yes. Usually I don't care. Sometimes I do. For me to spoil something, I am pretty good about checking... and kids get a longer window for me to not give them spoilers for some movie.

I figure that most adults have maybe year and a half or two or so for a popular show - from me. After that, it's kind of old news. I still check... "Ok, are you ever really going to bother seeing this movie/show?" (usually a no)... so then it won't matter if I "spoil" something that they don't care about or will refuse to see. For context, or to describe something basic.

But with kids, they can't afford streaming unless the parents have it, most are forbidden from watching certain things. They can't drive to a theater, can't get the money for movies easily, don't hold jobs to afford these things... I'm not telling most kids the twist in Empire Strikes Back, even if the movie has been out 40+ years... if they're eight years old. If they're seventeen, then jeez... they should have seen something Star Wars by then, or at least know THAT much; and if they haven't, then they'll probably refuse to watch "because it's stupid." Ok, then, I should be able to talk freely in front of them. I'm not spoiling who won a Football game or MMA fight for a week or two. Then its public info.

Two or three days after The Force Awakens (TFA) arrived in theaters, someone posted a comment with a picture showing... "the twist in THAT film"... I had hoped it was a fake photoshopped image. But, it was just to be a troll, and yes, it was real. The movie is eight years old, and I still hesitate to be the one who spoils it (I'm not getting specific permission and this is a public forum, though, so I'm still cautious).

One of the "geek" magazines spoiled "the twist" in Rise of Skywalker before even TFA opened. My guess is that THAT twist was supposed to be revealed either in episode 7 or 8, and they rewrote or postponed it to 9... Who knows?

But if it's public info, like Batman being Bruce Wayne, then it's not spoiling anything. If it's what happens to Jason Todd or Damien Wayne... I try to understand what people know, and go from there. If it's Titanic or Passion of the Christ... well... its fair game. ;) I'm not telling my niece what happens in Book 3 of Harry Potter unless she's seen the movie.

Unless I don't care it's not often things get spoilt for me. And if I talk about something I will mention things that happened but won't spoil the important stuff. Last thing I was spoilt that I was mad about been so was Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, granted I've never touched the franchise so my Dad thought I wouldn't mind but I did because the spoiler kinda ruins the whole reveal that someone like me for sure didn't know or understand.

A movie, I forget what it was called but it was Shia LeBouef (or however you spell his last name) and a movie about how he was being forced into this espionage mission by an unknown group of people that wanted to kill the majority of congress. My brother had it spoiled for him before we saw it and he told us as we were pulling in so we knew there wasn’t an evil group behind it, just a supercomputer.

I learnt to handle it pretty well.  Step 1: people forgot to prepend "fun fact" before they said those things. Step 2: don't believe "fun facts".

Ah yes a lot of time i got all the marvel movies spoiled many animes i got spoiled i tried to watch youtube videos on how to forget spoilers jhon wick and actully plenty others i don`t remember the name thats why i rarely watch movies i mean i watch a lot of memes or short videos of movies and series thats why i am to lazy to watch full movies/series
