Per the update, Sarah Michelle Gellar has always been very skinny. Contrary to popular myth, most men do not like that.
Also, it’s worth noting that Cordelia’s vanity was somewhat absolved when she had her secret affair with Xander. It suggested that she had real depth and reasonable values but just couldn’t shake her need to be tight with the kool kids.
Deep down inside, that’s what most of us have always really wanted; to be so desirable that someone from a perceived upper caste would risk being ostracized for our love and affection.
