A friend recently sent me Korn's performance at Woodstock 99 video.. and I was surprised by how intense the energy was and how much the crowd fed off the band's performance..🎸
Journey at Texas Jam 82 closed and they were great. The Escape tour was loaded with good songs.
Kiss in 03 Dallas, back in the paint ranks up there.
They opened for Aerosmith who sucked. I dubbed it Dude sings to the ladies. Lovey doveying it up.
1995 in Dallas the Black Crows were at the Airplane factory and girls were transformed into hos! They took guys hands and put them all over them. I was told it was the Chris Petterson affect. Bravo!! The music was great too.
Saw Sammy Hagar 3 years in a row. He was better each time.
But I have to give it to Aerosmith on there comeback tour in 1987. Permanent Vacation. Dokken opened for them in Shreveport and we're better than good. But Areosmith and Tyler especially was a ball of energy. A horseshoe ramp up to the drummer did Steven run. Around and around and I feared he'd fall down but he didn't. They sang all there songs from the 70s and the new album. They played for nearly 3 hours and THAT has to be number 1. They also have last place as well from 2003 in Dallas. 🤟🎸10 Reply

1 moCarmen in Vienna was impressive. If you like French opera set in Spain, performed in German, as an English-speaker.

* actually, I think it was performed in Italian 🤷♀️

1 mo1. Michael Crawford's performance in The Phantom of the Opera stands out as the best Broadway Musical performance I've ever witnessed in person.
2. That incredible performance of Prince for the Super Bowl XLI Halftime Show was unforgettable and I was so so glad I was there.
3. I will, however, add that from watching reruns (on television or online) of Queen's segment on Live Aid makes my heart pound with pride as a big fan of Queen.

For me it was Nine Inch Nails at a festival in Berlin and a tiny experimental theater piece in Paris, in totally different ways.
NIN had that same feral, tidal-wave energy as Korn’s Woodstock set – the crowd moved like one creature, lights and sound synced perfectly, every drop felt apocalyptic 🤘
The Paris show was the opposite: a 60-seat theater, actors almost in my lap, minimalist staging, and I left in tears without fully knowing why. That intimacy, when art feels like it’s aimed only at you, sticks in my brain more than any big spectacle 🎭11 Reply- 1 mo
You've never been to a music festival ya big phoney.

u 1 moI went to see Alter Bridge a few years ago. What made it so memorable for me was that I was able to get a backstage pass to meet the band, which was super awesome. I got to shake Mark Tremonti's hand and tell him "I play guitar because of you!"
"Ah, thanks, MAN!"
And I just thought "'Man!' He called me 'man', like we're best friends or something!" XD
Well, and the show itself was pretty great too, because I was in the front row for that one.

u 1 moRingo Starr and his All Starr Band. Every member of his band is a musician who had a successful career with a band that is no longer touring, and each member gets the spotlight to play 3-4 songs that were hits with their former band. It is non-stop energy and there is no let down at any time.
The lineup changes frequently but has, in the past, included Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, Billy Preston, Clarence Clemons, Todd Rundgren, Burton Cummings, Randy Bachman, John Entwistle, Peter Frampton, Gary Brooker, Jack Bruce, Eric Carmen, Roger Hodgson, Howard Jones, Greg Lake, John Waite, Billy Squier, Richard Marx, Rod Argent, Gary Wright, Rick Derringer, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Edgar Winter, and many, many others.

The show was outside and I had my kids with me. Dennis Wilson had died so they got John Stamos to play the drums. I put my daughter on my shoulders and we made our way over to the stage so she could scream hello the Uncle Jesse.

Another one might have been Rick Wakeman from the band. (Yes)
Journey to the Center of the Earth was great they did the same thing but not as well in a lot of it was on video20 Reply740 opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. The Roots, Bruce Springsteen but I've been to a lot of good concerts. I think the best concerts are good weather outside, great crowd vibes and the artist is in a good mood too and just has fun and doesn't play for the money but, because they're actually loving it.

1 moNew Year at Cenang beach, Langkawi. 2013 or so.
In a beach bar (or rather: open booze hut) there was a small band ripping off the best improvised psychedelic rock I can think of.
Add to that a sandy beach with palms, tipsy tourist girls and a friend who pays the bills.20 Reply I've been to a few. Went to Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Westlife
I've been to Backstreet Boys twice and love their concerts. They were my favourite band growing up and I love how their dance choreography too.
They always put on a good show

2.2K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. The Beastie Boys i saw them in the summer of 1998 when they were promoting "Hello Nasty". A Tribe called Quest opened for them and at the time it was assumed that they were done touring. So at the time i thought i was getting to see them for the last time. Of course we know now that they got back together in 2006.

1 moIt's a toss up between Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden. I think I still have to go with Maiden for the atmosphere, but in terms of the show itself, nothing really beats Alice's theatrics. But he didn't really engage with the audience, though given his style, it makes sense, but he was just opening for Motley Crue, so most of the people were there to see Motley Crue and were barely moving and cheering for Alice.

Megadeth, June 5th, 1987, at the Aragon in Chicago, Peace Sells tour, original lineup. They were a lot tighter and more energetic in those days, before the dope and alcohol began to take their toll.
10 Reply5K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. There are several that stand out for me. Seeing Rush play a three-hour show outdoors was one of them. I didn't know they were about to call it a day at the time.
20 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. the most memorable was seeing Paul McCartney in an arena show in Seattle about seven years ago. He was 75, played for three hours never leaving the stage.

12 ReplyMuse in 2004 in a small club before they were more well known, just as massive a show as they put on now only less accessories, and we were right down in front.
