Is it Weird For My Younger Brother to be Taller Than Me?

I am 19 years old literally about to be 20 in less than two weeks and my younger brother is only 13 years old yet he is about an inch taller than me. For that matter, our mother is taller than me as well. Despite being the oldest child and the most responsible one who fills the role as third parent, my 13 year old brother is taller than me and is still growing.

What happened? I literally think I may have some condition with how short I am. I am only 5'3" and I reached this height when I was about 15 and then just completely stopped growing. Even my doctor found it weird but never said anything further. Is this weird?

It could be something with your DNA or you inherited the height of a short family member. It could be malnutrition, I don't know. Don't worry, it's not weird at all for your little brother to be taller than you. A lot of times younger siblings surpass their older siblings in height. Look at the Fanning sisters, Elle is much taller than her older sister, Dakota.

You don't have any condition, you are just short.
There is a phase called "crossing over" where the chromasomas search their bro/sis chromasoma from the opposite sex, and from the little space they have, they brake. But no problem, because genetically the 2 chromasomas are close enough to change between them.

Not really, my 14 year old sister and pretty much all of her friends are about taller than I am. It's pretty depressing actually :(

Nope, nothing weird about it at all. Height is extremely variable in families. Makes no sense a lot of the time. No intrinsic connection to any genetic problem, diet, anything. Just is what it is.

It isn't. That's just your height. Nothing weird about that. I ended up being taller than my 20+ year old sister around that age too. It's just how it goes.

It's not normal I'm only 5'4" and have been like that since 15 I don't think I'm gonna grow much more normally you should've grown at least three inches since 15. All my friends are 6ft + one is 6ft 6 and he was and 6ft when he was 15. he's now 17.

It's a little weird, if your mom and dad are taller than you , its highly unlikely for you to be short.
