My mom gives me a headache?

My mom is really obnoxious sometimes, she criticizes what I'm doing and who I date. Its really tiresome and makes me think negatively. And when I ask her "what's wrong with my boyfriend? he's a nice guy". she's like "oh I dont know, I dont know him". Advice?

I would politely tell her that while you appreciate her opinion and that she cares, you'd like her to keep it to herself and let you make your own opinions. If you want her advice, you'll ask for it.
