My girlfriend likes being fat?

Other people in her life don’t seem very accepting though. She says it makes her feel sexy (and desired since I love fat girls). She likes the way she looks and feels. She says she loves feeling her big belly bounce when she walks, along with her other new curves. She hates exercise, refuses to do it and loves eating more than anything. But her friends and family judge her harshly for it. I love the way she looks now, and she says that there’s no going back. How can we get her family and friends to accept her weight gain and that she embraces being fat?

Was she skinny before?
Chances are, she loves you a lot so she tells herself how much she likes the fat look since she knows you like it. Maybe she does like it. But she also could have forgotten how much she loved being skinny, and it has to be hard choosing to be fat for you instead of being thin for her family.
You obviously loved her and were attracted to her before she was fat, so would it make a difference to you if she got skinnier again?
I think you should be open with her, and tell her that if she does want to be thin again or if she doesn't really like the lifestyle of being fat as much as she lets on, you will be more than accepting.

I don't think it's wrong to be fat per se, but it's unhealthy to have an obsession with eating and total refusal to exercise. She could run into serious health issues.

Regular checkups don't mean anything. Eventually the doctor is going to tell her that she needs to stop eating and exercise what is she going to do then? Refuse to do it and end up having serious health problems?

The best way to reassure her friends and family is to get a report from the doctor. If her doctor says she is healthy they have no grounds to put up an argument. If however her doctor says she is unhealthy then better do what the doctor says to get better. Being fat may be something she has accepted, but it should not cause her to get sick in other ways.

It's right that they want her to lose weight. They just care about her because she's family. What if (god forbid) she becomes disabled or something worse. Do you care more about your fetish or your girlfriends health? Tell her to lose weight.
