Boyfriend calls other girls beautiful but not me?

I am a very jealous person, and I really do not know why. It is really annoying but I wanted to see my boyfriend yesterday but I was with a friend and he was too. So I thought it would be cute if we introduced our friends. I drove over there with my friend and we had a good time. And I was talking to my friend (the one I saw last night that is friends with my boyfriend) and my friend was saying how he changed his plans to meet my friend.

I was like, "What did my boyfriend say to make you change your plans? Hahah."

And he was like, "Well he said I would like her. And I asked if she was hot and he said she was beautiful."

And my friend is really pretty, but my boyfriend never calls me beautiful and always is so choosey to say that word with me...but he easily does it to describe other girls. I don't know but it kind of made me jealous...

Dang. I don't know what to really say. I have used "Beautiful" as the nickname I give to my wife. I make no secret that it's what I think of her and I say it to her directly when I think of it. The fact that your Boyfriend doesn't use that term with you is unfortunate. I could play "devil's advocate" and say that maybe he feels it's understood how he feels about you and therefore it doesn't have to be said. You and I (and many readers out there) know that just isn't true. What people have said of me (how ugly I am) has left scars that last a lifetime, regardless of what my wife may say. Still, one person telling the other what they think of him or her sounds rather important. It seems my wife doesn't view herself as beautiful, but I'm never going to stop telling her that she is. Do you consider yourself beautiful? If no, then maybe that's why he doesn't say it.

If you are beautiful, then maybe he doesn't say it because you or another girl in his life got made when he complimented her, giving him that "You're just saying that because you want to have sex with me then leave me!" look.

He could be nervous to say it to someone when he really means it.

For example, I'll say that I love plenty of my friends, but would have a very hard time (and have not yet) said it to my own boyfriend.

It may not be the case, but that would be what I had going on.
