My Asian boyfriend's family doesn't like me?

I've known this guy for a couple of years, we met at college but never really talked much until we all had to go back home and went into lock down. We spent hours talking and really getting to know each other and what do you know, we both really have a lot in common so we started dating. School started back up but shut down again so we had to leave and go back home, he lives in another state from me, so he invited me to his state to meet his family after dating for almost three months. At first I was supposed to meet his sister and brother because his parents didn't want to meet me but whenever I got there, we did meet. His mom seemed to really like me but his dad was quiet and didn't say much. The entire time I was there his parents spoke in korean even though they know English, I didn't know what was going on except when my boyfriend clued me in on some things. I felt so left out and like I basically wasn't even there. After about a week of being in his state he told me his parents didn't want me coming to their house and he didn't give me a reason because he said there wasn't one. I was supposed to stay with him until we got the go ahead to return to campus but I was really upset and just drove back home I cried for a while and he thinks I'm over reacting.

I'm sorry to hear that. It is true that Asians have preferences to date within race. I was taught this as a little girl but my parents ignored it after meeting my boyfriend who is white. It's strange how I am also from South Korea by the way. I was worried once they found out I was dating a white guy but they actually love him. Not all Asian parents are like that.

I'm Caucasian and my girlfriend was kinda Asian, but I got tired of going to family functions even even though her family loved me.
