Then they're both hypocrites. "Do as I say, not as I do." They can't be trusted to be confided in, to have adult conversations and give you sound advice. They're driving a wedge in the relationship between you and them.
The same thing happened to me, in a way. My parents weren't strict, but they didn't understand the idea of gradually loosening the reins and giving me advice while allowing me to grow into adulthood. They still saw me as a little kid. At some point, I lost confidence in their advice and just did what I wanted to behind their backs. In doing so, I learned lessons on my own. I gained life experience. Sure I made some mistakes, but so does everyone. You learn from mistakes. But none of mine were catastrophic. I had sense enough not to get myself killed or wind up in prison, or get married and have kids before I was ready. I also had a helluva lot of fun. In the end, I did well for myself.
@pink_and_inlove Addiction is not something that happens all of a sudden, you start drinking because of the bad events you've been through and you become an alcoholic, so it's better not to get involved at all. My uncle was also an alcoholic.

Where did you get the beer?
My dad brought a bunch of them
Exactly. So there ya go. You're mom is being hypocritical. She's treating you like her little baby.
Have you talked to your dad about it?
Yeah he agrees with her as usual and says that I’m in the wrong

perhaps you could have a beer with your dad away from the house?,,,
I don't understand. Is she mad that you didn't drink the whole lot?
I'd yell too. You finish a beer if you open it.
I just wanted a little bit
I don't care, lol. That's alcohol abuse.
Goodness gracious you have a helicopter mom. I pray for your parents to be more open minded instead of being over concerned about you
Drinking beer at 19? I'm sorry indeed
I looked it up in your country it’s allowed at 18 and a lot of countries as well
The laws allow it, but as a tradition in our country, we get angry with children.
It's not all about the law. Nations have customs and cultures, they are more valuable than laws.
But I’m not a child I’m an adult I’m almost 20 too
@pink_and_inlove Drinking is not good don't be addicted at a young age
I’m not addicted I only consume little amounts everytime

But I don’t drink it to feel better ever I rarely drink and the only times I drink the very little amount that I do is when I want to try alcohol
@pink_and_inlove Don't get too involved though. When a person is unhappy, he gives himself to alcohol and becomes an alcoholic.
*hugs* you are a good person
