This is where our thinking is really stupid. We have no problem sending 18 year olds off to war to kill people and handle machine guns, but god forbid they have a beer. That us so fucking retarded.
I think if these parents get caught then they should lose their child to the State or Governor just think how many teen pregnancies happen this way and no one knows about it and things are always hush hush
It’s not like forbidding things ever stopped us as teenagers. Way I see it monitoring and talking about things like drinking gives a more mature, responsible view of it
Kids can start drinking here at age 17 so in my opinion they don't really need to drink before but Im not against giving kids some wine here and there.
My father does offer beer or wine on certain occasions and family gatherings, which is a smart decision because we kids are more attracted to the stuff we're often taught to avoid.
When my teenager was of a certain age I personally would rather them drink occasionally at home. I mean their going to do it anyway. So a least give them a controlled safe place to do it.
You have to be more specific, cause in germany and i guess most of Europe teenagers (16 ) can legally drink some alcoholic drinks or teenagers (18 ) can literally legally drink themselves to death.
Wow a blast from the past memory. I have been to a party like that when I was 18 and it was a disaster. Not a good idea, and pRents should be more responsible
In the past, less cars on the road. No cell phones, no social media.. Things were different. In today’s world, children lead by example even though they don’t say/show it. Cell phone = distraction More cars -= distraction Jobs/school = distraction Pear pressure = distraction Celebrities = distraction
I think it's fine it's in a safe environment and the youngsters can be taught towards limits and respect gotta be better than underage drinking in the park

I know of parents who do this. It takes the excitement out of them sneaking and drinking. They just set a few rules and the kids agree to it.
It teaches them to be responsible. My parents were not like that but I see nothing wrong with it.
I don't drink, nor do I desire to, but my mom has always told me that if I were to start at least do it at home so she'd know I was safe
I had my first drink and my first lay at 7... but my life has been hectic and apparently not the norm lol ^^

My mon would never, my dad would let me drink once I’m old enough though.

Sucks. My rents were like that, it only made all my friends only want to come to my house and eventually I hated them all for it

We shouldn’t add to the distraction
As long as it is done with supervision at home where it is a safe and controlled place and not known to school personnel...

I did not have those parents.
Had to get a friend's mum to buy alcohol for parties.
I wouldn't have parties at home, but would let them have a drink at 16
Id be ok with letting them try sone but I wouldn't be ok with letting them just drink regularly.
I think help install a healthy relationship with alcohol and beuilt addiction trust and openness between child and parents
