Many times when I didn't listen to him, it turns out he was right. It's like whatever he predicts ends up happening. I'll give you a couple examples:
- As a kid:
I thought taking care of a puppy was easy. My father guessed I'm going to fail and it'll end up getting returned back to store. That's exactly what happened. I found it hard, fell asleep and it nearly got out.
- 9th grade:
I didn't study for an exam and thought I could easily cheat. He told me that even if I don't get caught, I'll still fail. I passed the test with a fake A but days later, the teacher expected us to give a detailed speech of everything we studied and its importance. I couldn't and failed it. The teacher suspected I had cheated but let me keep the fake grade since I wasn't caught.
- Age 19/20
My father watched a show about young girls explaining the importance of family values and saving themselves till marriage. He said ''This might be useful for you. Those girls find no need to look for bfs nor dates. Nothing good comes out of it. Wait till marriage. It's not very common nowadays but it's the right way''. I thought to myself ''lol, my father and his stupid old-fashioned ideas. Marriage, lol. If men can date, have fun and be in a couple relationships, we can do the same too. I started finding dates on dating sites.
That same year, my father predicted I'll one day realize he was right. He predicted drama and heartbreaks on the way.
Many years later at the age of 28:
He was right all along. My first was a loser. I found out he was always broke because he was gambling and doing drugs. Then afterwards, I underwent 2 other heartbreaks. My last relationship; I ended it because it wasn't going anywhere after 4 years. I've reached a point that I don't want to just date and be in a relationship for too long. I want a family. My father was right once again. I ended up doing what he predicted; told him he was right.
How is he able to guess correct? He's right most of the times.
