Has my friend suffered a lot in her life?

Do you think my friend has suffered a lot? She was always bullied in school when she was younger as she had red hair. When she reached middle school her brother was an overachiever so she was always compared to him and labelled the stupid one. When she was 15 she was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and lost a ton of weight. Her teacher in school referred her to a crisis center. She went there but was still depressed. Her dad was not supportive and hit her a few times throughout her life and was verbally abusive. When she was 18 she got a job but was sexually harassed and taken advantage of for 8 months until she decided to move to another city but she got a bad boyfriend who told her to lose weight and was not the nicest to her. He then broke her heart. She moved back to her city and got a boob job to give her more confidence but she never had her family support so she went through it on her own and recovered alone. She moved away again and got a better boyfriend but became pregnant and endured an abortion. Then there was a girl online trying to steal her boyfriend and was bullying her online. Has she suffered a lot in her life?

Your friend reminds me of one of those people who don't have a label of something dramatic happening to them that would cause people to think she suffered.

At the same time, I think what your friend went through was pretty much a lack of love - and a lack of love can be as destructive as someone going through something life altering, for example suffering from a life threatening health condition.

I think your friend went through a lot of things that were not THAT extreme and yet all those things put together would cause a person to feel so alone in this world - so yes, in short I do think your friend suffered a lot. \
