I would definitely say it’s not okay usually, but not in this particular circumstance. My friend dated her twin’s best friend, so this would be the same but on the flip side. Only thing is that they are close friends still anyway, and I haven’t known him for long. I need help with this!!

This type of relation is probably the best way to ruin a friendship.

One does not have a relation with a family member's friends because those kind of relations seldom work out and the result is usually a stressed friendship because the family member will tend to protect his/her other family member, unless of course, there are already tensions within the family.

This type of relation is not something I would ever recommend because the outcome may be detrimental to a friendship. One should keep family business away from friendships and not risk potential conflicts because of a crush or a relation.
