My friend keeps commenting on my ethnicity?

I don’t want to say she’s racist, but she’s always bringing it up, it seems like she’s obsessed with it almost.

I’m half Asian (Malaysian) and half white (Irish) and I get told I look like Kristin kreuk quite a lot. My friend is just white. But my friend brings up my ethnicity a weird amount, like in front of men I’m flirting with she will say “do you like Asians then” or just generally make comments about my “Asianness” in front of strangers. It doesn’t affect me because I’m proud of being mixed but it’s just weird how much she brings it up in front of other people and to me. I’ve had to tell her she’s being racist after some comments in the past, and she apologises, and then she goes back to talking about my race. She even said I “smell of rice” in front of some people the other day. She also said my “future children would be weird-looking because they’re Asian and white” What should I do about it?

Why is she being so annoying is a good question, perhaps she wants to be Asian and is one of those weeb girls that like animals that for some reason are obsessed with Asians, I feel like that would be the only good explanation for this, either that or she is just racist in some way

Find some sort of insecurity she has. Like if she is insecure about getting chubby, tell her that you think she's so pretty but you think she could lose a few pounds. Things like that. Smell like rice -- that's not even an insult. Rice smells nice.

I'm not sure about this jealousy stuff. That's a bold assumption to conclude that she's jealous. Don't need such a conclusion though to stand up for yourself and put her permanently in her place.

Yeah, I'm playfully suggesting some things that might be too cruel. I'm sometimes in favor of fighting fire with fire because of course it makes a bigger fire, but sometimes it also makes people especially realize that we need to put it out. But you be bold and assertive with a type like her as I see it. Like boxing, don't make the mistake of stepping back when the opponent throws the metaphorical punch. Side-step and counter or even move into them.

... and being mixed means we're constantly outsiders. That's a constant. We'll never quite blend in. So I think you should get comfortable as possible with that idea and have fun with it. Become the most comfortable person with that on the planet. Then no one can ever hurt you for being that way. And if they try, you'll be able to think up a comeback because your mind won't be distracted by painful thoughts.

Sounds like she’s jealous of you and looking to tear you down by being racist. If she doesn’t make these sorts of comments towards other people who are a minority, then it’s probably jealousy. Confront her and if she doesn’t change then ditch the bitch.
