For those without children: If you were to ever have kids, what would you want to name them?

If you do not have any kids right now, but want them in the future, what would you want to name them? Let's assume your spouse doesn't care and will go for any name you want, as long as it's a real name and not something like "Butthead."

In real life, I would NEVER want to conceive children, because my genetics are pure sh*t, including me being short, and me crating children would be a crime against humanity! But assuming I didn't have sh*tty DNA, a sh*tty blood type, and medical conditions like hypothyroidism, I'd want at least one daughter. The late love of my life was a tall, voluptuous blue eyed, pale redhead, so our children would've been mixed race.

If our daughter took after her mother and came out light skinned, I'd name her MaryJane.

If our daughter took after me and came out dark skinned, I'd name her Marissa.

If we had a son, although I wouldn't want another "me" in this world, I'd name him Alexander (the Great), or Peter (Parker).

I already have a daughter named Aria. If I had more kids one day I like the names Aurora and Athena for girls (I don't know why I like A names so much)

for boys I like Aries/Ares (which everyone hates that name but idc, it’s cool lol) Or Alec.
recently I met someone named Jak and I loved the spelling of it so maybe I should add that to my list as well 😅

My wife says my name ideas are horrible but I was thinking "Jean-Claudia Van Damme [insert my surname]" if she's a girl and "Jake Danger (danger can be his middle name)" for a guy. I also have a bunch of others like "Spaghettia" and "Blade Master" and "Noodle" (skinny girl name if she has very long limbs).

yea, I'd have a daughter. name, depends on the child... I'd name them based on personality and inspration at that time. I was late to the party, be a miracle at this point.

With my life, me meeting my soulmate and then having her die in an apartment fire, then never finding someone else to like me as I am (especially with my height and looks), is not at all unexpected. I dislike that it happened, but not surprised by it. And considering how my portraits I've gotten made of her, yes, I still do think about her. She was extremely mature and wise beyond her years.

aw, how awful. she was lovely... full of energy, looks like the girl next door. I could totally see that matchup... I've seen girls along the way that reflect like her. Strong character traits, but feminine. I think it's some Scottish in there... I've seen those"opposites" draw more than once.
It's not easy, but those women are out there. might seem a needle in a haystack, but does to them as well.
can't imagine losing a love like that, I all too often forget about how tragic each of these stories in the news is to those in their lives. Can only hope she'd want you to go forth and live life to the fullest. Someone once told me, when your heart is open, makes room for someone new to appear.

Boys: Alex, Conan, Noah, Caleb, Aaron/Arron, James, Christopher, Connor



I know some of these are super weird. I do also like pretty normal names like Olivia, Mia, etc. but usually with the more common names I know someone in person and associate it with them. There’s also a lot more but I can’t think of them at the moment!

Well, using a site, I saw that , Tomi, Fukiko, and Tomiko are the only Japanese names that directly mean "wealth." Kakashi and Kyoya aren't even real names outside of Naruto. It'd be like naming your kid "Superman" or "The Joker."
