Why don't my close friends post on my birthday?

This may come off as really narcissistic, I'm just a little hurt, am I overreacting? I have a few close friends. And none of them post on my birthday, they make birthday posts for their other friends with pictures and stuff for social media when their birthdays come around. But I don't get that on mine. Is it possible they don't see me as close a friend as their other friends?

The only one who does post is my best best friend. She will make a cute little birthday post with pictures of both of us but none of my other friends do that.

They're probably not as close to you as they are to the other friends. Is not that deep. That doesn't mean they do not appreciate you. This shouldn't bother you nor you should expect such thing from people. Social media isn't real life as we all know by now.

Two things:

1. Is it possible they don't view you as close a friend as their other friends, or as close a friend as you see the friendship?

2. Do you post on THEIR birthdays? Maybe they are mirroring you?
