How to handle the delicate situation of your child seeing you making out?

In our case both of children sleep with us in the same room. We are trying to get the elder one who is 9 years to take a room of her own but she insists she wants to stay on with us.
The younger one is just 9 months old so she needs us to be next to her anyway.
Just in case the elder one sees us in the act (as we can't use a different room it being a joint family) how do we react especially she doesn't know we have noticed and she says nothing about it.
Hopefully hasn't happened so far but could happen if she wakes up in the middle of the night and we don't notice.

I’d love my kids to pieces but once they're 2-3+, they will be read to sleep in their own bed and i’ll lie there with them until they’re fully asleep. I’m going back to the room to bang after that. If the kid wakes up and comes in after we’re done then sure fine, sleep with us. But other than that, i’m walking them back to their room. When the kids 1 and under and they’re in their crib in the corner of my bedroom, I’m just gonna hope they’re sleep cause im still gonna fck. May just be nice and do it under the covers... i better bite into the pillow tho cause im loud af. If a child just sees its parents making out, thats nothing! You tell them they are not allowed to do the same until they are 16 and have a boyfriend/girlfriend of their own

And maybe get a babysitter to watch them for a few hours on the oppositr side of the house while you get freaky

Well the only thing is its a joint family and anything that we do like that is just like announcing to the house we are going bang bang tonight

Even tried convincing her to sleep over in my parents room, (they aren't active anymore) but she hardly yields

Okay you’re married. They should expect it. Maybe its a cultural thing but no matter what culture i wouldve been apart of, they’d have to get over it or get out my house

Well it's their house we stay in and they don't mind, it's just that my wife feels too shy to do that

Its a kid. You shouldn't have to convince her. Put some bass into your voice and kindly tell her she's too old to be sleeping with her parents every night. I slept in my moms room maybe once a month during stormy weather but not nightly at that age

Yeah need to be more assertive I guess, just hope she hasn't seen it so far and is acting up just to get a glimpse

No when i heard my mom having sex, i was like 5 and everytime i heard it after that i cried like crazy. I hated knowing she was being touched although i didn't know how sex worked. I’d purposely knock on her door to interrupt then just in hopes theyd stop and go to sleep

Nothing wrong with your child seeing their parents kissing. The problem here is the 9 year old in yalls room. That would drive me nuts. I only allow babies 2 and under in my room. After that I make my kids sleep in their own room

Well we have the covers over us and make sure we are as silent as possible and also make sure that the kids are fast asleep
