Not sure how to feel about this. My girlfriend (22) just told me she basically manipulated me and her friend into not dating each other. I remember when I first met her, I was into her friend more at first (she was more my type back then) and went on a couple dates with her friend.
At the time, the girl I liked's friend (now my girlfriend) kept telling me her friend was talking crap about me behind my back. I believed it because why would she lie, that's her friend? She then told her friend lies so her friend would go off me. I stopped seeing her friend because I don't want to date a girl who I can't trust. After I dumped the friend, my girlfriend told me she liked me and we began dating each other and we've been dating for 2 years.
Well apparently, all of that was a lie, so I dumped the friend for no reason then. I mean I'm glad I'm dating my girlfriend now, but she basically manipulated it so I wouldn't want her friend.
I do love my girlfriend, but hearing this has made me not trust her. I mean, she basically lied to me and backstabbed someone else. What should I do?

not quite the same but it reminds me of beta male orbiters or jealous girls who poison the mind of his/her female friend, gaslighting her into believing her boyfriend is toxic and abusive every time they have an argument but in reality he's just setting his own boundaries
