Should I apologize for real (my 1st apology was fake)?

Now (nearly a month later) I'm friends with the kid my 2 ex friends and I framed for stealing.

The 1st apology was fake. I only did it because mom and the assistant principal practically forced it out of me. It was either that or a whole week (5 day) suspension instead of 2. Those weren't my words in that letter nor speech. I didn't mean any of that at that moment. The kid really though I meant it and befriended me.

I actually like the friendship by now. I feel like apologizing again. Well this time it's for real. Should I apologize again if the first one was fake?

You already apologized. It being fake was on you. Telling them that might end the friendship. If you're prepared for that, do it. If not, then just move on from that.

I don't mean telling him it was fake the first time, not that. I meant apologizing for what I did (the framing and the way I acted before) and simply thanking him for the friendship.
