How do men if they wanted a baby boy but instead it's a girl?

My brother and his wife are expecting their first child soon. The due date is March 25th. My brother wanted a boy so he can relate to him more, teach him his same interests, etc. Even when he was much younger, he would always imagine having a boy when he becomes a father one day.

Part of his wish came true. He's going to be a father alright but it's a baby girl, not a boy he wanted. I wonder how he must be feeling. How do men react when they first wanted a boy but it's a girl?

well he has to be the father figure either way. and it being a girl doesn't mean he can't have a meaningfull connection with his child. he can still do all the things he was hoping to do with a boy. and even a boy could end up not be interested in the stuff he was hoping to do with him. so i think he should just drop this stupid mind frame and focus on being a good dad...

I was in the opposite situation. Always wanting a daughter but have 4 sons instead. Gender disappointment sucks but you still end up loving the baby
