How rare is it for someone to never get scared of Horror movies or video games?

I've never been able to comprehend why most people literally get scared of watching a horror movies or playing horror games

I'm literally numb to it & i've watched man

The Ring (2002 remake)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

I've watched the grand majority of the popular ones & I've never jumped or got uncomfortable

It was mostly "eh"

The same with video games

Resident Evil & Silent Hill... I've never jumped or got uncomfortable with what's being displayed on screen

I'm more "scared" of losing whatever progress I've made if I die

If you have never been scared, felt concern, or fear in any of your life circumstances then that could be of concern, however, horror movies are not a good indicator. Some trial in your Past should have distressed you in some ways.

I think it comes down to being desensitized. If you can sit through The Exorcist there's not much you can't watch. Plus most horror films now are toned down for a PG-13 rating.

I've watched it 1x at a public event
(one time showing) type scenario & I did fairly enjoy the film but I did notice most people got uncomfortable during the vomit/head twist scenes

99% of popular horror movies are not scary. The real scares come in the more obscure horror movies, and they are not the easiest movies to find.

I wouldn’t say it’s rare. I know a few people who have no reaction to it. Usually due to them being desensitised to it from a young age.

One of my classmates would watch the "Ring Tape" from the 2002 remake over & over & over because he thought that the tape was errie but in a hot sort of gothic way

It easier to scare women, so women like horror works more than men, men are more stoic.
