I recently resumed contact with an old friend. I always liked her, even though I think she’s a bit snobbish and won’t be seen in many middle class suburbs where I hang out. She made the first move. Her family are old money and worth multi millions and she lives in a posh area and had private schooling. I’m a down to earth woman from a middle class family. I take people as I find them. Regardless of background or wealth. The only issue I have with her is that she’ll always look down on me, even though she’ll not act like she feels superior. There’ll always be that between us. Different values. Should I be friends with her?
Superb Opinion
if you do value tolerance, respect, maturity among a few others, then yes... you can absolutely befriend someone that has a slightly different view, perspective and experiences than yours...
where the line draws... highly subjective, though

Why wouldn’t you? Values don’t define a friendship. How someone treats you is how a friendship is really defined
