Like most people who say this do things, risky things might I add, without acknowledging the bad that comes with it. I always felt like people who genuinely lived by this phrase exhibited careless behavior. It’s almost scary when they say it because it’s like, you never really know what they’ll do or how far they’ll take it because they seem to not truly care about themselves let alone anyone else and I’m not talking about the ones who say it because they have sort of a bad eating habits or something like that but the ones who literally wake up and live in that saying in everything they do. It’s like they live to destroy and just keep going.
I think you got the phrase backwards by your description. "I'm here for a good time, not a long time" more accurately describes your description.
There were studies done on teens who thought they'd die young. Those teens lived a self fulfilling prophecy by engaging in risk taking and many in the long term study paid the price. My cousin would always say "It's better to burn out than fade away" and his behavior was a reflection of that.

I think it depends rather on what your definition of a fun time is. My definition of fun is definitely not similar to many other peoples , so yes I’m here for my fun time because I’m not here for a long time.
No, you can have a good time in a lot of ways. Not all of those ways are harmful.
