When I have children, I would like to give them Italian names. Would most women be open to this? Especially if I’m unwilling to compromise with names?

When it comes to something as important as the identity of your child, I am very uncompromising in that regard.

The male is the authority figure of the household. I see it as being my divine right to have final say.

I want two boys, one girl, as I don’t believe I could possibly mentally manage two girls.

I would name my three children Christiano and Christina which means “followers of Christ” and I would name the third child Benito which means “blessed”.

As a Catholic man, what better names are there?

And when I already feel such strong attachment to my choice in names, why should I compromise.

Also, I’m thinking of changing my surname as well. Even though I am of mixed Italian-Irish descent I would prefer to change my surname to Greco. Whilst still keeping my current name of Sean, which means “God is gracious”.

Which I certainly agree with, as I have seen many times over how God has been gracious and forgiving in my life, even when I doubted him or turned away.

But yes, I would like to eventually move to Italy. I will have to grind Italian language learning really hard, but I believe it can be done.
