Why does no one want to be my friend?

I’m shy and not good at starting conversations, but I’m a good open minded listener that enjoys talking to anyone about anything they want. I’m also try to be very open with myself despite my shyness.

I’ve made a few temporary friends, but they all stop talking to me in a matter of weeks if not days with no explanation! They didn’t block me and showed no sign of disliking me when we were talking, so it’s like they vanished. And not just here on GaG, but anywhere online regardless of the site/app, their age, or their gender.

How does this keep happening to me? I just want a friend… 😢

Well, I can understand that. In my case it is different though, from time to time people do want to be my friend but given how I am as a person I can never be a friend to anyone, I simply cannot maintain friendships because I have standards for friendships as well and there are many things I see as unforgivable and anyone who I see is not a right person I will instantly throw that person out of my life.

Hence friendships cannot last in my life.

For you, you seem like a nice person and you seem to have good qualities that people will like once they get to know you.

Often times, if a connection is only through the wireless world, people may become bored. I am a true believer in making long lasting friends with face-to-face interaction.
Here, and on other online forums, people may have differing amounts of time that they are willing to spend here, so it's easy to forget about somebody.

Switch and PS4. I don’t have many games with multiplayer because I don’t have enough friends to pay big money for multiplayer games. Just free to play mobile MMOs like Genshin Impact.
