My older sister has her step father on child support. The kids aren’t his but based on law, he has to pay now that they separated. I think it’s only fair because I don’t think guys can come into a single mothers life and just leave like that easily.
Do you think step fathers should have to pay child support as well?
I'd say yes. Because I believe if both consenting adults engage in sexual relations, they should both be responsible. Not just the men. Not just the women. Both. If you are both going to play like adults, be ready to handle the consequences. Quite frankly, in this day and age, there is no reason for there to be an unexpected pregnancy with all of the accessible and affordable birth control options. If you get pregnant, chances are you both weren't being responsible...
Oh, I just read the title again. Step fathers. Why would they have to be on child support? They didn't create the babies. Also, if a woman is bringing a man into her children's lives, she better be damn sure he's going to stay. That's on her, not on him.
It's better to know whom you must pick from the 1st time and learn what a real marriage is, ofc both of the couples should be aware of what a true marriage is, have faith, truly love each other and at this point there won't be something called a divorce, step dad or step mom...
I feel like he should be held responsible above the stepdad. Yes, part of dating a mom is accepting her kids as well but that doesn’t mean he automatically replaces the biological father.
That's absurd. He did not legally adopt the children. He just married their mother. She chose to bring him into their lives and the relationship did not work out. He is not legally obligated to pay for her children.

I’m guessing he adopted the kids since her post was saying the stepdad has to support her sisters kids based on law, I can’t imagine another scenario where that would even be possible. For that though I’d say her sister is wrong AF. Her kids real dad isn’t working so she has to sucker another poor man to make up for that money. The system fails men all the time and this is a great example.
I don't think so because their biological father must be paying the child support and if the woman was the reason for divorce and if she leaves without harsh reasons that no child support for her and why does it have to be her raising the kids, if the father is a good man than they will live with their father, who said that the kids should always go with their mother 🤔
