So sometimes killing your enemies with kindness works?

Anonymous

I fought a girl at school in the beginning of December. I really started it and have been on her case for 3 years since we were in 7th grade, giving her a hard time at school. I tried lying to my parents but it was recorded. The video showed me as the instigator.

The girl was forming study groups to prepare for the midterms and helping many with math. She's one of the smartest one at school and I'm struggling. I took my parents' suggestion in apologizing and giving her a small Christmas gift. However, I was only doing it to get her to help me for the midterms and math. I faked my apology.

She accepted it, surprisingly was easy to convince. Here is the part that actually made me feel awful for real. I'm still grounded but my parents allowed me just for the New Year to hang out with my friends, with a curfew though and then come back home. She spoke to my parents on my behalf. If it wasn't for her, I would've stuck at home. She saved my New Year. I was impressed. I didn't deserve it.

I've felt awful ever since and it's like I owe her big time. So I requested her on FB and invited her for (unrelated to school) the New Year with my two friends.

After all I did, after how I acted and treated her, I get kindness. So sometimes that works... killing the enemy with kindness?
