My parents were very strict about my studies and since I was a naughty child, while I was A student I had some Bs too. That I was hiding and lying about.
My parents never came to school so never found out, in 9th Grade I decided lying was tiresome, the fear of them finding out I had B in Physics was stressful and then I felt guilty for hiding it.
One day at the end of 9th Grade, I went home, sat my parents down and told them
“I have been lying to you about getting As in all subjects, I have B in Physics. I was lying because I was scared of your reaction, but I am tired. You can get angry if you want, but it will not raise my score in Physics, it will only make me keep lying. What you can do is help me get a tutor in Physics and also, from this day on, I will tell you the truth about everything, whether you like it or not. I shouldn’t need to become a liar to please you.”
Surprisingly this conversation worked perfectly well for them. They got me Physics tutor and I started getting As.
Since then, I have been very honest with them.
One day I was 19, my uncle got weed for his friends, I overheard that. I was very curious what Weed was.
I went to my parents, who are very traditional and totally against the usage of cigarettes and marijuana and told them I wanted to taste weed just once, and if they didn’t help me then I’d do that with friends my age and might have ended in a worse way.
They refused, laughed in disbelief and freaked out I even asked that, but when they noticed I was not joking, they probably believed it was a better idea for me to try it with them,
they knew I always do what I say, so they made me promise them it was just one time occasion and my mom made me a joint with her own hands while my dad was standing on a watch out so that my brother wouldn’t see.
I tasted but I couldn’t inhale because I am not a smoker and didn’t know how to do that. But makes a fun memory that I did that with my parents 🤣
