My crush's friend hates me?

I like this girl and we have really good chemistry between us. The problem is that her good friend hates me. I have no idea why, but one day she suddenly got very icy towards me and basically started ignoring me, even when I spoke to her. Recently, I tried to break the ice with a joke, but she gave me a freakish look.

I can comfortably say that no one has hated me more in my life. It makes no sense.

This is giving me some trepidation about proceeding with the girl I like. I hope she isn't being swayed by her friend. Am I doomed because her friend hates me?

maybe it's because she feels that her friend gives her less atention now she knows you . I had the same thing when my best friend got a girlfriend while I was still single. it kinda hurts , and you don't trust the person he/she is now suddenly giving more attention than you.

I started to get to know his girlfriend better , and know I like her actually , she's a friendly girl :p

so probably , in some time it will get better - when she starts to get to know you , when she realizes you are not completely going to take her away from her ...

I didn't like my best friends Girlfriend at the start , but I NEVER told him that , because he's my best friend . with some luck she won't be saying that you are irritating and that she should leave you

It might not actually be hate , it might be a bit a jealously .Girls TEND to be competitive between each other and when you see your frnd finding her match when you haven't found yours yet , it h=gets annoying.

You could also have misunderstood her , maybe she was just in a bad mood.

Just start things with the girl you like , nothing should keep you away from her.

Well I try that but they still hate me. They were my friends too but the just hate me now.
