Teasing girls keep you out of the friend zone?

Or can girls just have "teasing" friend-relationships? I've had it where me and a girl only teased each other so I thought she liked me, but didn't. Does this go for physical teasing, too? Like punching or poking. Do girls do it to their friends, too, because they're just comfortable with them, not necessarily that they like them?

It's always hard to tell the difference between friendly and flirting.

It depends on the girl honestly, I tease all of my mates (guys & girls) because we're just close enough to have that banta. Some girls prefer to be completely blatant if they fancy someone, but more timid girls aren't so obvious. But we are just as confused about guys when it comes to these situations, it's difficult to have the confidence to show your emotions because we're all a little scared of rejection. Maybe if you crank up the flirtation you'll get your answer. If you feel she's flirting back even more (I'm sure you'll know) then you know she likes you but if she starts to 'back off' you know she isn't ready. All you can do is take the risk and wait for a reaction :)

I find even with friends that if you flirt more, they'll still flirt more even if they don't like you. It seems the only way to know is to ask them out.

Yeah I understand what you mean, which really isn't fair to be honest; giving people the wrong impression :/ but if you really want to get out of the 'friend zone' I think you've just got to take a shot and see what she says :) I know its daunting knowing there's always the risk that she'll say no but if your trully good friends it won't get in the way of the relationship you already have and you can just laugh about it:) think positively and be confident,and take the risk because she's worth it

When guys tease me a lot and I assume / see that they tease other girls in the same way they are automatically friend zoned. If a guy like this teases me I am going to assume he's just flirty and friendly and play along back.

However, if there is a guy who only teases me then I would probably take it differently. I would probably assume that he likes me. I like light teasing from the guys I like, but usually if it seems too flirty I would not be as attracted. I like kinda shy and more serious boys when it comes to relationships.
