My girlfriend and brother slept in the same bed (no sex) Should I be mad?

1. They were both and their group on schoolies trip, a big celebration school leavers have at the end of the year. I'm 2 years older than her

2. There were other guys and girls in the room

3. She says she couldn't get back to her apartment...even though they were on a top floor and hers was a bottom floor.

4. They both didn't tell me at all, I was just generally asking about the trip to my brother and it came up, she didn't mention about it at all..

5. She says she's liked me all along, but just before she got with me, I know she was with another guy that she did stuff with..

It might be innocent. But it doesn't sound that way. So you have every reason to be upset because you don't know the truth, and the truth was withheld from you. They may have not done anything.. But were they cuddling? I'm a cuddler in my sleep. I wouldn't sleep in the same bed with another guy unless I was willing to cuddle. Or unless there was another girl between us. But still I'd prefer the couch. Or just go home. She said her room was in the same building? Sketchy. I guess it depends wether or not they were sleeping next to each other or not. If not, she my have just been sleeping up there, with company. But if they laid together, you have good reason to be suspicious. And now I just want to throw my opinion in..(that was just my observation)... You shouldn't get too mad at your brother. Especially if they did little(like cuddling, because I cuddle with my friends sometimes) to nothing. Because he will always be your family but she doesn't always have to be your girlfriend. And he said something before she did. So even if you can't trust them very much right now, you at least know who you can trust more

Also, if you really believe that nothing happened. And you still love your girlfriend. I would put it behind you. But only after a good long talk about trust with the two of them in the same room.

id be very uncomfortable about this tbh, she could easily have left or slept on the floor or next to a bunch of girls so the bed with your brother is the last place she should have chosen sex or not.

i agree with what moonrisekitten said about your brother mentioning it first and being the one you can trust more out of the two. it might be innocent if the bed was a large double and they both slept like this all night: link or head to toe like this link so I could sort of understand her mindset of that scenario not being a big deal but spooning or cuddling is completely overstepping the mark and not mentioning it is very shady.

i would invite the brother around to explain and then ask her to explain separately and see if their stories match up or if theyre both bsing on the details

Even if they did nothing its just not appropriate. Did they not care how it would affect you?! What sort of impression would that give? There is no explanation. 1st of all most people have a past so her "doing stuff: with a previous guy should not be any criteria of your decision making here. She withheld this piece of information which to me seems shady and makes her untrustworthy. It is possible something happened but regardless I would not trust her anymore.

ok well…interesting situation. this just depends on how much you trust both your girl and your brother not to hurt you like that. I mean if you know they were gonna get up to no good then yeh b as mad as you want. but if you feel that their intentions weren't to harm you then its OK, just push it aside and calmly tell them that you'd prefer if it didn't happen again. they'll understand.

Sounds pretty suspicious to me. Sounds like one of those keep it in the family type situations. If you knew a little bit about my family you would be pissed. My Real Fathers had this girlfriend at this one time who he would not marry so what did she do? She went and started sleeping with his brother my uncle and eventually married him. Therefore I have half sisters from her from my Real Father even though my uncles name is the fathers name on their birth certificate my aunt claims my real father is the real father. lol messed up shit. lol So yes you should be pissed. She was was sleeping with both but, my Dad would not marry her so she got his brother. So, my half sisters are my cousins too. lol

The fact that they weren't mentioning anything only because you asked questions is very suspicious. You seem to be handling the situation good so far...you need to take a deep breath and process this. I suggest you talk to them separately and hear the story each has to say about what happened...but if I were you, I would not trust either of them anymore...once harm is done...it gets hard to trust. I am not saying they had sex but who in the world sleeps in the same bed with a sibling's significant other...he could of easily slept on the floor. Her not telling you doesn't mean something shady happened. It probably just means she didn't think it was a big deal at all, so she didn't think it would be something you'd get upset about.

I'm really quite shocked at all the answers. Unless she's done something that would make you question her (i.e. flirted with your brother, etc) than I really don't see why you should be so paranoid.

Honestly this is The only answer that makes sense. She didn't mention it because it wasn't a big deal! If they seemed sneaky or shady like theyre hiding something from you then yes be suspicious but other than that maybe you should trust them . And if something did happen your brother should tell you family before anything !

No you are not overreacting AT ALL. That is ridiculous and they should not have been sleeping in the same bed to begin with. The fact that he tried to act nonchalant and did not even tell you before hand or directly after the fact shows their weak dedication to their relationship with you. If he or she had any respect for you, one would have chosen to sleep on the floor (should have been your bro). If this was vice versa, I don't think he would be a happy cookie either. If I were you, I would definitely ditch the girl.. she apparently is a low-key slut if she thinks that's "okay". Your brother will always be your bro, so eventually you will have to mend things with him, but he definitely has some serious apologizing and but kissing to do.
